HIS HISTORY

Rt. Rev. Aloysius Balina, was born at Isoso, Ntuzu, Bariadi District on June 21^st 1945.  ordained priest on 27^th June, 1971.  consecrated Bishop on 6^th January 1985, by Pope John Paul II in Rome.  Installed as the first Bishop of Geita on 10^th March, 1985.  transferred on 23^rd September 1997.  installed as the Third Bishop of Shinyanga on 16^th November, 1997.

WORKING EXPERIENCE

·        Diocesan priest –  Buhangija, Shinyanga town, Salawe, Bugisi, Chamgasa and Malili 1971-1975

·        Rector St. Pius Seminary Makoko 1975 – 1983

·        Parish Priest, Shinyanga town 1983-1984

·        Bishop of Geita 1984 – 1997

·        Administrator of Geita 1997 – 2000

·        Bishop of Shinyanga 1997 to date

·        Founder and the first Chairman(CSSC)

·        Chairman of TEC Health Department 1985 to date

·        Chairman of Bugando Medical Centre 1985 to date

·        Chairman of Bugando College of Health Science 2000 to date

·        Commissioner for TACAIDS 2002 – 2004

·        Chairman of Consultancy and Development Limited(CDCO) a firm under CSSC 2005 to date
